Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician with a background in manufacturing to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude. This includes troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs, sensors, FANUC Robots, VFD's, Contactors, electrical components, 480v 3 phase motor control circuits, conveyors systems, Mig/Tig Weldimg and is able to troubleshoot using electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify recurring equipment problems and implement long-term solutions.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.

Emergency Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, working efficiently to minimize production delays.
  • Maintain a stock of necessary spare parts and tools to facilitate timely

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance activities during planned downtime to avoid disruptions to the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing regular updates on maintenance activities and equipment status.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to equipment maintenance and safety.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades and modifications to existing manufacturing systems.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and systems is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Mig/Tig Welding
  • Troubleshoot 480/3 phase motor control circuits
  • Print reading
  • Troubleshoot Inputs/Outputs on PLC’s
