We have an opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Custodian at our project location in Augusta, Georgia. This position is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the common areas within the facility, including the hangars, engine shops, other work areas and grounds. Essential responsibilities include day time waste removal, sweeping and cleaning of all hangar floors; spill clean-up and equipment cleaning; handling and moving of hazardous materials including waste blasting media, paint and petroleum-based products which requires wearing provided safety equipment including protective gloves, safety glasses or face shields, aprons, and a respirator. The team at GreenWood’s home office recently completed a CPR and First Aid training course led by Greenville Health & Safety. The course covered the key aspects of CPR with hands-on instruction along with mock scenarios that taught proper first aid applications so that employees know how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work. GreenWood personnel also experienced instructor-led training for automated external defibrillator (AED) usage. This type of training is conducted as part of GreenWood’s “Always Aware” safety program which emphasizes the health, safety, and well-being of all employees at the job site, office, or at home. With this certification, only qualified and certified fabricators will perform alterations and repairs.
