Overview

The Maintenance Technician/ Hotel Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in the hotel. This role ensures all plumbing systems are functional, efficient, and in compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning fixtures.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls.
• Diagnose and resolve urgent plumbing problems to minimize damage and ensure guest safety and comfort.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all health and safety procedures.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure seamless operation of all building systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions during repairs and maintenance.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and equipment.
• Order necessary supplies and manage inventory efficiently.
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training.
• Valid plumbing license as required by local laws.
• Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
