What You’ll Be Doing

We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician to join our Guernsey production site. Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of our production equipment, fixed assets, and the building itself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make sure our factory site and the equipment used for making cards are well maintained and running smoothly
  • Hit our Despatch On Time (DOT) targets while keeping up the quality and meeting daily deadlines
  • Do preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and keep everything running efficiently
  • Accurately record and report uptime
  • Work closely with third-party partners for maintenance contracts with suppliers of equipment like printers, insertion machines, HVAC, and other services
  • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve goals related to energy use, equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and staying within budget
  • Promote Health and Safety within the workplace to create a safe environment for everyone. Support H&S audits when needed
  • Keep the production and surrounding areas clean and tidy
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing
  • Work closely with other departmental managers to ensure smooth material flow and high productivity
  • Take on any other duties needed to help the company meet its goals


You'll be a great addition to the team if you:

  • Have a recognised qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Have experience in Project Management
  • Can make decisions and challenge when needed to deliver a great customer experience
  • Understand Lean principles and know how to apply them
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced, automated environment
  • Have a flexible attitude and can work in an agile way to meet daily deadlines
  • Can think on your feet and perform well under pressure
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Always ‘think team’ and promote a positive work environment
  • Are willing to work outside normal hours during peak periods when needed
