Legal Nurse Consultant (Part-Time)

Wilson Elser’s White Plains office currently seeks a part-time Legal Nurse Consultant to work up to 27 hours a week. Candidates who wish to work remotely from home are encouraged to apply.

The Position

Qualifications

• Legal Nurse Consultant certification (LNCC via the AALNC preferred)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical and damages analyses
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite platforms
• Occasional travel to the White Plains office may be required
  
  

Responsibilities

• Identify, organize and analyze pertinent medical records
• Prepare a chronology, timeline or other comprehensive summaries of documentation in medical records
• Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
• Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses
• Conduct medical literature searches and assist in other research
• Work with attorneys to evaluate case strengths and weaknesses
• Evaluate causation and damages issues
• Educate attorneys and clients regarding relevant medical issues
• Locate or prepare demonstrative evidence for trial
• Assist with preparation for and support during deposition, trial or ADR

The hourly salary range for this position is $55 to $60. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
