Position Overview

As the QA Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes and team members within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of software development methodologies, testing frameworks, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers both onsite and offshore. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance on testing methodologies and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.Collaborate with product, development, DevOps, UI/UX design, and other stakeholders to define comprehensive test plans.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test automation scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies for automated testing
  • Create test automation code/script to perform cloud API tests
  • Create test frameworks for automated UI and BE testing
  • Integration, E2E testing
  • Investigate test failures and determine root cause
  • Proactively identify areas of process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA engineer with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and resourceful with excellent analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and processes
  • Experience with test automation
  • BSc/BA or above in Computer Science or a related field
  • Understanding RestApi and microservices architectures
  • Experience with Mock data and sandboxes
  • Experience with DDT (data driven tests) and BDD (behavior-driver development)
  • Solid skills with SQL, Git, Docker, Jenkins
  • Advanced Python
  • Experience with Python Fixtures and Parametrization
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing, including the design and implementation of test automation framework based on Selenium, PyTest, and Appium.
  • Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD processes

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90K- $135K (Depending on experience)
