What You’ll Do
MGT is a leading technology services organization specializing in the design, implementation, security, maintenance, and on-going management of wired and wireless converged network solutions. We are currently looking to fill a Junior Lead Installer position in our San Antonio, TX branch location. This position will join our current engineering staff to work on existing customer networks to solve their technology issues.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
Product deployments including Layer 2 edge switching, Layer 3 switching, network firewalls, and wireless LAN devices; all from leading solution providers (i.e., Aruba (HPE), Juniper Networks/Mist, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5).
Providing post-sales technical support for existing regional customer base.
Responding to customer issues/outages and troubleshooting
Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network problems
Managing installers during on-site phases of projects, I.E. large switch, and wireless deployments
Obtaining and maintaining required certifications for partnership with key vendors
Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma is required.
Two (2) or more years of experience with computer systems and networking
Basic routing/switching knowledge.
Familiar with networking/wireless products from enterprise manufacturers
Proficiency with L2/L3 protocols.
Proficiency with wireless networking
Proficiency with MS Office and Visio
Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills are required.
Limited travel to regional customers and manufacturer conferences.
Must be able to work well and collaborate with other engineering staff members.
Pass background checks for K-12 customers on an ongoing basis.
Familiarity with Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet etc, product suites are preferred.
Manufacturer qualification at a basic level (e.g., ACSA, JNCIA, PCNSE, CCNA, NSE1-3,) is preferred.
