We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Lead Fire Alarm Installer (Foreman) to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced construction industry. With your strong leadership skills and technical expertise, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our construction projects by overseeing the installation of fire alarm systems. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

As the Lead Fire Alarm Installer (Foreman), your key responsibilities will include

• Leading and supervising a team of fire alarm technicians in the installation, programming, and testing of fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and local building codes.
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the effective integration of fire alarm systems into the overall construction plan.
• Conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks of installed fire alarm systems to ensure their optimal functionality.
• Training and mentoring junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols at all times, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Proactively identifying and resolving any issues or obstacles that may arise during the installation process.
• Keeping accurate records of all installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Lead Fire Alarm Installer (Foreman), candidates must possess the following qualifications

• (NICET 2 and CSA 2 Card Required)
• Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including their installation, programming, testing, and maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and supervising technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• A strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
