Role Overview:
As a K-12 Tutoring Solutions Director, your deep understanding of district administration will be instrumental in bridging our innovative solutions with the needs of the school districts we serve. Your role involves building and nurturing relationships with school districts, leveraging your administrative expertise to understand their unique needs and designing tutoring programs that help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage Administrative Experience: Utilize your extensive background in school district administration to connect with district leaders and understand their specific challenges and goals
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with school districts in your region, leveraging existing connections and conducting presentations to prospects
- Prioritize In-Person Meetings: Strengthen relationships through face-to-face interactions for better communication, trust, and collaboration
- Program Design: Collaborate with districts to create tailored tutoring programs that meet their specific needs
- Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a pipeline of interested school districts to meet your established quota, addressing and overcoming any obstacles and objections
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with client success, tutor services, and other departments to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation and continuous improvement
- Strategic Planning: Build and execute strategic plans for your territory, focusing on both small and large customer bases
- Extensive District Administrative Experience: 5+ years of administrative experience within a school district is essential
- Sales and Client-Facing Experience: 3+ years of outbound-focused sales or client-facing experience in the education industry is preferred
- Educational Services Expertise: Experience in educational services (tutoring, professional development, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of needs assessment principles, processes and techniques in education
- Skills: Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills. Proficiency in Salesforce is a plus
- Mindset: A resourceful self-starter with creative problem-solving abilities and a commitment to team culture and results. Comfortable in a fast-paced, fully remote environment
- In-Person Engagement: Ability and willingness to travel for in-person meetings to strengthen relationships and ensure effective program implementation
- Experience working with key decision-makers such as district/state Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, and Directors of Curriculum and Instruction
- Prior start-up experience is a plus
