Summary

Private Client Select Insurance Services (PCS) is a leading Managing General Underwriter (MGU) specializing in insuring the needs of high net worth clients. We are on a mission to revolutionize the insurance experience for brokers and insureds through innovative solutions and exceptional service.


PCS is is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Delivery Lead to focus on the successful implementation of MGU systems. This is a critical position for driving significant improvements in our ability to serve our clients and achieve our growth objectives.


PCS employs approximately 400 staff members. The company is based in Berkeley Heights, NJ with additional offices in New York, NY, and Schaumburg, IL. PCS has a geographically diverse workforce and supports hybrid and remote business-based flexibility. However, the preferred candidate will reside in the Chicago, New York City, or Tampa area as hybrid work with the IT management team is paramount.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of MGU systems for complex Property & Casualty products.
  • Deeply understand the MGU/MGA operational landscape and its specific IT needs.
  • Possess strong knowledge of core MGU systems like Instanda, and experience integrating with external rating engines like Coherent Spark.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for MGU system implementations.
  • Manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, business users, consulting firms, technical architects, business analysts, and integration leaders.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle, acting as a problem-solver and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Ensure successful system integration with existing technology infrastructure.
  • Track project progress, measure success, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment within the IT delivery team.
  • Help structure the system and team for ongoing rollouts and support, ensuring long-term success and scalability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project delivery, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in implementing and integrating MGU systems that are user friendly and scalable
  • Hands-on experience with external rating engines like Coherent Spark.
  • Strong understanding of MGU/MGA business processes and workflows.
  • Excellent project management skills, including scope, budget, and timeline management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical and non-technical teams, while also possessing the ability to roll up your sleeves and tackle technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with external consulting organizations.
  • Prior experience working within a consulting firm focused on MGU implementations (a plus).
