About the Company:


As the Director of International Sales, you are expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of cultural and legal disparities across international markets related to sales. Your role necessitates frequent travel abroad, with a monthly return to the office for a five-day period. Your primary objective is to identify new business prospects and sales opportunities, prioritizing face-to-face client interactions when necessary.

This newly established position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and contributes valuable insights to strategic decisions impacting the functional domain. You are entrusted with the resolution of escalated operational issues, often requiring collaboration with various departments.


Responsibilities and Expectations:


Strategic Planning and Sales Initiatives:

  • Formulate strategic plans to facilitate budgeting and forecasting on a quarterly and annual basis, segmented by country, customer, and product Pioneer innovative marketing strategies to bolster sales across all product launches
  • Oversee and monitor all sales endeavours for existing and new product lines within assigned territories
  • Ensure adherence to timelines for product launches and ongoing sales initiatives, in collaboration with the Marketing team

Management:

  • Uphold the company's sales policies and objectives, while facilitating communication and education across the organization
  • Manage allocated budgets for international sales initiatives
  • Cultivate existing account relationships and drive sales growth within designated accounts
  • Oversee international distributors and brokers
  • Nurture professional and efficient relationships with all international accounts and customers

Research and Recommendations:

  • Conduct research on competitive sales strategies and propose actionable plans for market penetration within designated territories.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance sales plans and marketing opportunities to achieve the company's business objectives.
  • Offer recommendations on various company pricing policies Validate potential customers' business plans

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with international registrations and regulations for existing and targeted products, collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team
  • Generate sales reports

Requisite Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or business administration
  • Five years of experience in International Sales Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet research for forecasting and strategic planning
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills to foster effective relationships with brokers, distributors, and the company's leadership and staff
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and deliver professional presentations to both internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrated initiative in suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly those spoken in target market locations, is advantageous

Working Conditions:

  • Expected 20% business travel, including both local and national trips via personal vehicle or commercial carrier
  • Visits to each managed country will be required as necessary, typically once per quarter.
