We are currently seeking a full-time Interior Designer III to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence. This position reports to the Senior Interior Designer, Team Lead.
Responsibilities And Duties
Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
Lead and assist in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications
Lead communication efforts between internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants and contractors
Use and maintain project checklists and HHA established standards during all project phases
Coordinate internal and external communication with project team, including architectural leads, consultants and clients
Present directly to the client on project technical and design solutions
Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on project interiors and interior design led projects
Coordinate with senior staff on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies, including the updating and maintenance of HHA and Revit standards and families
Provide subject matter expertise on specific components of interior design
Review completed plans, reports, estimates and calculations for compliance prior to review by supervisor or project manager
Actively manage budgets, schedules, programs, and project documentation
Be a resource to Emerging Professionals and Interior Designer I’s & II’s
Work closely with firm leadership and staff to achieve a high level of project success
Maintain project information within HHA established technologies (i.e., Deltek Vantagepoint), approve project time and invoices, and update schedules weekly
Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making
Anticipated billable performance: 80%
Skills
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM360
Strong Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes
Strong communication and organizational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Qualifications
Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
8+ years of experience
NCIDQ certification preferred, but not required
