ETONIEN is sourcing for an Interim Controller to support a private equity backed operator of plumbing and HVAC services in the Memphis/Northern Mississippi area.
The ideal candidate will be a CPA and possess 10 or more years of relevant and progressive experience in a middle market private equity environment. He or she will be self-directed and very hands-on with strong experience with construction accounting and percentage of completion in a fast-paced service and construction environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In cooperation for executive management, coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization.
Conduct comprehensive assessment of existing financial systems and processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Develop and implement strategic workplans to streamline financial reporting, aiming for a shortened close schedule
Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Closely manage and compare budget to actual and document variances
Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
Additional ad hoc projects as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in accounting or finance required; CPA highly desirable
10+ years of progressive relevant experience within plumbing, HVAC service or construction environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and stabilize a finance team amidst organizational changes
Must have strong construction accounting and percentage of completion expertise
Must have Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
Multi-location or global experience preferred
Must have M&A and post-acquisition integration/clean-up experience within a restructuring or private-equity backed environment
On-site presence required; local candidates preferred
Immediate availability preferred

Wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions. Exact compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, certification, license and location. A reasonable estimate of current total compensation range including potential discretionary incentives is $5000 to $7000 USD per week.
