The Instructional Designer responsibilities include designing and developing comprehensive learning solutions and content, including researching, pilot testing, validation and maintenance. Partner with subject matter experts (SME’s) and stakeholders to assess training requirements and specifications. The Instructional Designer will use established methodologies in all stages of the instructional design process, including needs assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The Instructional Designer will also be responsible for gauging learning progress by creating certification criteria and exams. This position utilizes instructional design, performance improvement, and adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials for safety training.
Functions
Design and develop a range of learning experiences for varied audiences. Solutions include in classroom, eLearning, blended learning, online job aids and other innovative knowledge transfer methods.
Partner with cross-functional SMEs and conduct needs analysis and initial design.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure efficacy and accuracy of existing content.
Audit, adapt and/or redesign courses as needed based on organizational goals.
Ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts.
Knowledge of rapid training development tools, various eLearning authoring software, and LMS.
Portfolio of courses delivered or designed for eLearning and web-based solutions.

Travel Requirements
