Are you passionate about creating training programs that make a difference in national defense agencies? As an Instructional Design and Curriculum Development Specialist, you understand that effective training is crucial for operational success.
In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions. Using your expertise in instructional design methodologies like ADDIE and adult learning principles, you'll design engaging synchronous and asynchronous courseware.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to assess training requirements and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
Develop training materials using adult learning methodologies and integrate technological solutions.
Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle to deliver and manage training content.
Implement the ADDIE model to design and develop effective training programs.
Create interactive and engaging learning experiences using creative instructional strategies.
Recommend blended learning approaches to optimize training effectiveness.
Facilitate communication with stakeholders and SMEs throughout the training development process to incorporate feedback.
Evaluate training outcomes using assessment methodologies like Kirkpatrick's model and adjust content as needed for maximum impact.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Technology, or Organizational Development.
2+ years of experience analyzing occupational areas to develop or revise instructional systems and training programs.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle, and authoring tools like Articulate.
Familiarity with instructional design best practices and evaluation methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field.
Certification in Instructional Systems Design or Kirkpatrick evaluation.
Experience developing a variety of training programs, including live courses, web-based training, and workshops.
Proficiency in additional LMS platforms like Canvas.
