The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is looking for a spirited and motivated Information Security Analyst. You will report to a Cyber Security Manager and will be part of a team of Information Security professionals that is customer-focused, passionate for information security, focused on learning and development. Our objective is to support the strategic mission of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) for Information Security; to be “agile, risk-focused and forward-looking to ensure sustained security and resiliency of Federal Reserve assets.” The Information Security Analyst plays an important role with identifying risks to FRS systems and data.

Salary: $100,000 - $113,000

Our objective is to support the strategic mission of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) for Information Security; to be “agile, risk-focused and forward-looking to ensure sustained security and resiliency of Federal Reserve assets.” The Information Security Analyst plays an important role with identifying risks to FRS systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Provide input to system owners and experts concerning very diverse technology needs and compliance with RMF, information security directives, FISMA, NIST, and standards used by the FRS.
- Maintains documentation related to security controls, product designs, operational documentation, and continuous monitoring.
- Support technical security assessments of on premises and cloud-based applications. This will include working with engineers and developers to manage risk resulting from automated vulnerability scans and manual penetration testing.
- Review security testing results for technology implementations to identify deviations from established controls, potential changes to information systems, and vulnerabilities.
- Performs research of unique/complex vulnerabilities. Document artifacts for future collection along with any required manual procedure.
- Research emerging technology, software, and consult with partners to address security requirements and compliance.
- Serve on FRS and Fiscal Service Information Security work groups.
- Consult with leadership on technology across the district on security design, threats, policies and controls.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field, or commensurate experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in Information Security or a related IT discipline with an emphasis on, risk assessment, compliance, and related activities.
- Technical and operational proficiency with a wide array of computer hardware, operating systems and software.
- Experience with FRS, NIST, FISMA, and Cloud security standards and assessment program.
- Analyze and assess complex policy regulations and or plans and apply them to applications / information systems / boundaries
- Develop and propose changes to internal procedures in response to environmental changes.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Preferred industry recognized certification(s) include:
- Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- Travel (10%)
- U S citizenship required
- Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower job grade or salary.
