Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting an Imaging Assistant for our busy Specialty Practice. The Imaging Assistant provides the CSNF Imaging Department with the proper support needed to improve imaging report turnaround time, departmental efficiency, and quality of care. The Imaging Assistant will serve as an aide to assist the Imaging Department in all aspects of the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Send imaging studies/expedite imaging requests to affiliate radiologist groups for dictation.
Monitor report turnaround time and notify the imaging manager of any issues that may slow down the workflow process.
Ensures that prior images are received and sent to affiliate radiologist(s) for comparison.
Monitors STAT, Urgent, and ASAP report requests.
Utilizes Powershare to request and receive outside imaging studies for comparison.
Shares imaging schedules with affiliate radiologist group.
Requests report addendums from our radiologist group at the request of the physician and relays report status.
Communicates with all members of the Imaging Department and serves as a liaison between the Imaging Technologists, Manager, CSNF physicians, and Imaging Affiliates.
Answers the phone and fields questions appropriately.
Provides Novapacs support to referring providers, and CSNF physicians.
Other duties as assigned.
Full-time position
Education And Experience
Minimum one- two years’ experience in related field
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging or related field.
