Job Summary

As the HR Operations Manager you will contribute to the US Division’s talent goals and business partnership in aspects of operational efficiency, process design, organizational development, program governance, and employee engagement. This involves managing a broad range of administrative support with emphasis in the areas of recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, training, reporting & analysis, research, program management, policy and procedure development and employee engagement. This is a remote position with travel to our plants in IL, OH and PA, 2-4 times per month.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer divisional programs/processes including rewards and recognition, learning management system, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Partner with the HR team on people-related policies, including new policy development, and adoption and implementation of new/updated compliance requirements to meet local, state, federal governing laws.
  • Drive efficiency using technology for things like onboarding workflows, offboarding workflows, people analytics and more.
  • Manage the salaried recruitment process for US division employees, including working with hiring manager(s) to identify their needs, posting positions internally, preparing and placing employment advertisements, screening applications and resumes, conducting and scheduling interviews, applicant tracking, attending job fairs, and developing strong relationships/partnerships with universities, trade schools and agency partners.
  • Manage the pre-employment and onboarding processes for US division employees, including background check and drug testing, preparing offer letters and new hire paperwork, and facilitating their orientation.
  • Track and report HR metrics (e.g., recruiting, demographics, turnover, headcount, etc.) and prepare various reports for the HR team.
  • Assist with the delivery and tracking of HR training programs for internal and externally facilitated training.
  • Assist with benefit administration, including the enrollment process and Open Enrollment.
  • Effectively utilize capabilities of available software systems (e.g., UKG, Kronos, Paycom and Paycor) to best manage relevant HR functions and provide data to supervisors/managers.
  • Prepare and update job descriptions and request market pricing data for various positions.
  • Assist the field HR team with investigations, coaching supervisors and managers with respect to employee relations matters, including corrective actions, policies and procedures, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Actively contributes to strengthening communication between the business and employees related to HR programs, policies, and processes
  • Attend and facilitate various company meetings as needed/required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of HR operations management experience required.
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and have high ethical standards.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change and easily shift priorities.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and lack of structure.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of management.

Preferred

  • Experience with policy writing and administering FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification(s).
  • Experience with UKG, Paycom and Kronos HRIS systems.
