In This Role, You Will

  • Manage and maintain control of all regular, interim, and special tenant re-examinations for assigned caseload
  • Perform application interviews for formal applications, verify applicants, prepare file, and conduct briefings
  • Prepare leases/contracts
  • Negotiate proper rents
  • Review and verify household income and composition to determine program benefits eligibility
  • Review recertification form, complete verification package, and perform rent calculations
  • Assist in the daily administration of the Section 8 Programs as directed by supervisor
  • Prepare and maintain file documentation and status reports in compliance with HUD regulations and the Association’s administrative plan

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of the regulations governing the Section 8 program is preferred and general administration practice is required
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and present to a variety of individuals or group is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently to schedule, organize, plan, prioritize, and complete job related activities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals
