Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Assist Clinic Supervisor in delivering clinic services.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have regular and reliable attendance, is regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: FLSA: Hourly
Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Assist Clinic Supervisor in delivering clinic services.
MAJOR TASKS
- Assists in administering basic first aid to students.
- Dispenses medications under supervision and direction of Clinic Supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining student health records and accident/incident reports including treatment records/logs, emergency cards, immunization records, handicap and allergy information and hearing/vision screening to include computer data entry of information.
- Refers problems beyond scope of responsibility to Clinic Supervisor, Principal or EMS as appropriate.
- Assist in the compilation of information for state reports for immunizations, hearing and vision for Clinic Supervisor's approval.
- Inventories and prepare supply orders for Clinic Supervisor's approval.
- Assist Clinic Supervisor with vision and hearing tests.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
- Performs other health office job related duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by Clinic Supervisor or Principal.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Possess current Red Cross First-Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
