FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Head Women's Volleyball Coach.
Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. The university is located in the town of Fort Valley in Peach County, the original site of the state's peach industry. Its 1,365-acre (5.52 km2) campus is Georgia's second-largest public university in area.

Job Summary
Fort Valley State University, a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Head Coach for the Women's Volleyball Program. The head coach is responsible for coaching, developing, directing, planning, organizing and supervising the Women's Volleyball intercollegiate program.
Duties/Responsibilities
Instructing athletes in fundamentals of Volleyball, providing specific coaching technique and strategy, recruiting athletes, managing all aspects of the program including competition and travel as well as designing and administering programs to promote the Volleyball program, policies, and services at FVSU.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Two years of volleyball coaching experience.
- Experience in a program as a coach or student athlete, and knowledge of collegiate rules and regulations desired.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Coaching experience at the collegiate level desired.
- Evening/night and weekend work is required.
- Participation in campus activities is required.
- Travel, including some overnight, is required.
- Working outdoors and occasional attendance to community events.
- Ability to transport various volleyball equipment.
- Ability to engage in physical training activities.
