Head Server

We are currently seeking a dynamic & customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Head Server. The Head server is a hands-on position responsible for contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

The following reflects the essential job duties but does not restrict tasks that may be assigned. Duties of this job may be changed at management’s discretion. The Head Server reports to the Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Executive Chef.

The Head Server is responsible to maintain the highest standards of service and hospitality at all times.

  • Provide exemplary customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, throughout their dining experience.
  • Train FOH team, to maintain high service standards, product knowledge, and professionalism.
  • Manage FOH team during your assigned shifts, coordinating tasks, and ensuring seamless teamwork and efficiency.
  • Ensures any special needs or requests for diners are accommodated and arranged.
  • Direct guests to waiting areas such as lounges.
  • Ensure guests are seated promptly, be attentive at all times to guests seated in waiting

areas or lounge.

  • Ability to lead and manage a team, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operations during shifts.
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business and scheduling needs.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns and provide appropriate resolutions.
  • Knowledge of POS point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Executive Chef, kitchen team, FOH team & Management team ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Inform guests of daily specials.
  • Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making

recommendations upon request.

  • Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning

when needed.

  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens, fill salt,

pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers, etc.

  • Take orders from guests for food or beverages when necessary.
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers,

clients, co-workers, etc.

  • Answer telephone, take messages, take & confirm reservations, pre-plan seating for

balanced stations and take ""to go"" orders.

  • Ensure 100% accuracy of the order and special requests/needs of the guests.
  • Assist kitchen staff in assembling ""to go"" orders, present the order to the guests, take

and process payments.

  • Assist servers in serving beverages, wine, cocktails.
  • Perform opening or closing routines as scheduled, including cleaning tasks in the front

desk/lobby area.

  • Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that

dining details are handled properly, and guests' concerns are addressed.

  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct

any problems.

  • Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and

glassware.

  • Processes guest payments accurately and maintains an accurate cash drawer.
  • Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  • Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment.
  • Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods.
  • Learn food and beverage menu.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Restaurant Head server experience required.
  • Bartending experience required.
  • Have a clean, neat appearance & good personal hygiene at all times.
  • Have a courteous, enthusiastic style of communication.
  • Ability to communicate with guests.
  • Flexible schedule, particularly for weekend/evening shifts and holidays.
  • Ability to work 6+ hours on your feet at a time.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, team environment with a sense of urgency in getting things

done.
