Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Spalding University is seeking a head coach to start a men’s volleyball program. The Head Men’s Volleyball Coach is a full-time position that will report directly to the Director of Athletics and will coach and recruit for the program directly in line with all University, Conference, and NCAA guidelines. Spalding University is in downtown Louisville, Kentucky and we participate primarily in the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) as a NCAA Division III member.
Salary wage for this position includes a yearly comprehensive benefits package; medical coverage, 403b, 23 Paid Time Off days, 21 Holidays, tuition remission, and much more.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop student-athletes.
- Recruit and maintain a championship caliber men’s volleyball team.
- Support academic success and the holistic growth personal growth of student-athletes.
- Graduate successful student-athletes.
- Develop practice plans, evaluate film and implement competitive strategies.
- Work closely with admissions and other campus offices to recruit student-athletes
- Manage recruiting database in Front Rush
- Ability to maintain effective work relations with administration, faculty, staff and students.
- Plan season schedule and coordinate team travel.
- Collaborate with athletics communication to maintain Spalding Men’s Volleyball social media accounts.
- Organize team fundraising and community service opportunities.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of and adhere to NCAA Division III compliance rules to maintain the integrity of the program and athletic department.
- Represent Spalding University and our athletic department in an exemplary fashion.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s preferred.
- Collegiate coaching and playing experience preferred.
- Regular or daily contact with administration, admissions, faculty, staff, and students.
- Regular contact with the general public.
- Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
