About The Position

The Group Vice President-Fire & Life Safety will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational execution of our Fire & Life Safety division. This is a newly created position to support the continued expansion of our Fire & Life Safety business. This senior role demands a visionary leader who can drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive national strategy for new construction, maintenance, and regulatory testing services across the country.

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a national strategy for the Fire & Life Safety division that aligns with overall corporate objectives.
    • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive business growth and expansion.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the division.

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fire & Life Safety division, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
    • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
    • Implement and monitor KPIs to track the division's performance against strategic goals.

  • P&L Management:
    • Take full responsibility for the division's profit and loss, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
    • Analyze financial reports and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Service & Maintenance:
    • Develop and maintain a robust service and maintenance program that ensures client relationships continue after construction.
    • Ensure the highest service delivery and maintenance standards for all fire and life safety systems.
    • Lead efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service and cross-selling of additional ArchKey service offerings.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams of professionals across multiple functions, regions, and offices.
    • Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment that encourages employee growth and development.
    • Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies to build a skilled and motivated workforce.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management:
    • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
    • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Fire & Life Safety division, effectively communicating strategic direction, performance, and achievements.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Fire & Life Safety industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing P&Ls and driving financial performance in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
  • Extensive experience in service and maintenance operations, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, focusing on team development, collaboration, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and Fire & Life Safety sector industry standards.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support business operations and growth initiatives.
