Robert Walters is partnering with a leading global energy company to recruit a seasoned Government Affairs Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Be a strategic advisor to the leadership, advocating for the company's interests before governments across North America, with a specific focus on the energy sector.
• Represent the company in key industry associations, ensuring their voice is heard on matters impacting energy policy, regulation, and legislation.
• Build strong relationships with policymakers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to advance the company's energy agenda.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop winning strategies and influence policy outcomes related to the energy sector.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate complex energy issues into clear narratives for policymakers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in energy policy, public policy, environmental science, or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in North American energy policy and government affairs.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully advocating for energy policy positions before legislative and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and presentation skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, think strategically, and navigate complex political landscapes.
• A deep understanding of the North American energy sector, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
