Golf Course Superintendent

3Putt Group is a Golf Course Operating Company @ Fairways of Woodside Golf Course in Sussex, WI.

We are looking for a team oriented superintendent that has a vision of great golf conditions and play ability with a focus on work/life balance. We are not looking for a grinder, hours are not the performance metric - great conditions and great team culture are. This is not a 70plus hour work week job. With good people and process this should be a 45-50 hour work week with time off in the summer and weekends etc... We realize this might be unheard of in the industry but we know it can be achieved with a process driven planner that creates a great culture.

Summary: Provide excellent playing conditions on the course and practice areas and exceptional turn management.

Essential Duties:

• Endure ability to maintain maximum playing conditions while remaining within Budgetary guidelines.
• Provide an effective culture for staff to achieve goals for assigned areas of responsibilities.
• Maintain positive relations with homeowners on course
• Sustain innovative operating methods in all areas of responsibility.
• Maintain a professional image with employees and customers.
• Support safe working habits and a safe working environment at all times.
• Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, to take criticism, to get along with all works and supervisors, to treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, and to refrain from abusive, insubordinate and bad behavior.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage all personnel function by developing, maintaining and evaluating personnel in effective, efficient and safe work procedures.
• Manage equipment, materials and resources effectively.
• Achieve department goals through development and management of an effective budget.
• Schedule and assign work to be performed.
• Ensure a safe environment for employees and guests.

Qualifications:

• Must have knowledge in working with cool season grasses, specifically bentgrass.
• Must have knowledge in Toro golf course irrigation systems.
• Must have knowledge and used growth regulators.
• Must have background or be willing to use Greenskeeper App.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Drivers license, Pesticide Applicator's Certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The job may require lifting up to 100 lbs, and working on irrigation systems etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving Mechanical Parts, fumes or airport particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noice level in the work environment is highly variable, although the average noice level is moderate, the range would vary from quiet to loud.
