Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

Develop and deliver approved technical training at recognized Training Centers and local districts to internal employees as part of the GPL Business Strategy and aligned with employee development.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.

Supervisors & Managers must demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety of all subordinates and visitors on company premises.

QUALITY

Familiarize with the Company's Quality policies and actively participate in the compliance and improvement of the Management System.

Maintain service quality as a priority across all business areas and continually seek areas for improvement.

Support incident investigations where field personnel capabilities are in question.

OPERATIONS

Develop a technical training curriculum (basic, intermediate, and advanced) in partnership with Product Line subject matter experts and the Segment Technical Development Manager, ensuring alignment with Product Line competency standards.

Deliver technical training professionally, assess student performance, and provide comprehensive feedback to managers.

Evaluate existing training curriculum for accuracy, relevance, consistency, and alignment with strategies and goals.

Determine specific curriculum development requirements through detailed training needs analysis.

Support Operations in developing and completing required competency standards for personnel.

Manage Segment Asset resources to ensure adequate tools and equipment for training classes.

Assist in achieving Technical Training department goals and objectives.

Adhere to Technical Training department policies and procedures.

Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Align training content to competency requirements.

Support WISE queries related to training or personnel development.

Support Global Product Line initiatives and project deliverables.

COMMUNICATION

Build a training class schedule in conjunction with the Segment Talent Manager and the Technical Development Manager to meet business needs.

Provide virtual training and in-person training at Training Centers and other locations as determined by the Technical Development Manager.

Prepare and deliver technical seminars and workshops to National Oil Company personnel and International Oil Companies personnel virtually or at the client's location.

Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders, both internal and external where appropriate.

FINANCIAL

Operate efficiently and cost-effectively within established budgets.

Understand and support the measurement of return on investments.

Be financially responsible, whether managing a function budget or personal expenses, ensuring costs are within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames, and following relevant financial policies and procedures.

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Take responsibility for developing your own career, including completing necessary function, compliance, and business standards training to enhance knowledge, skills, and experience.

Regularly engage with your line manager to discuss personal performance, objectives, and opportunities for skill and experience enhancement to support career potential.

Complete all assigned Compliance & Company Standards training.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent qualification or a combination of education and experience.

Over 10 years of related experience in the Oil & Gas sector with the same service.

Meet established criteria of Product Line Career Plans.

Thorough understanding of the overall business with specific competency in Product Lines applications/operations.

Good knowledge of Sand Control theories and concepts.

Operational experience in Sand Control (Stand Alone Screens, ICD, AICD, and Gravel Pack).

Workshop experience in servicing and maintenance of Sand Control tools.

Prior experience in Sand Control training delivery is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to manage, motivate, and assess a dynamic work group.

Demonstrated ability to train and mentor personnel effectively in classroom and field environments.

Knowledge of technical training program design and development techniques.

Ability to plan, delegate, schedule, and monitor results.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience in training local teams.

Technical expertise in the product line category.

Ability to work under pressure and in varying conditions.
