Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global PMO Director to lead a large-scale SAP migration project affecting over 300,000 employees across multiple countries. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a highly complex project involving extensive integration points, substantial data archiving, and coordination with numerous stakeholders, including senior executives and System Integrator Program Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the SAP migration project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to ensure project alignment and stakeholder buy-in.
Program Oversight: Oversee the entire program, including coordination with all Systems Integrators (SI) Program Managers.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse migration team of 179-200 roles, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Implement contingency plans as necessary.
Integration Management: Oversee the management of 770 integration points, ensuring seamless collaboration between vendors, instances, and applications.
Data Archiving: Ensure the successful archiving of 7 years of data, adhering to regulatory and organizational requirements.
Global Coordination: Coordinate project activities across multiple countries (US, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and possibly Argentina), ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior stakeholders and the executive team on project status, risks, and issues.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in program/project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale, global projects. Significant experience in SAP migration projects is required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll systems, data migration, and integration processes, specifically with SAP.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Technical Acumen: Experience with managing complex integration points involving multiple vendors and applications.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred.
Global Experience: Experience working with international teams and managing projects across multiple countries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large-scale data archiving and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with the payroll systems and regulations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina.
Prior experience working with senior executives, including CHROs.
