Geotechnical Department Manager

Our client is a leader in assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting for civil and commercial construction.

Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work they are seeking a Geotechnical Department Manager to join their Austin office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead geotechnical projects, including field exploration, lab services, and engineering analysis.
• Ensure quality control of proposals and reports, meeting client commitments.
• Engage in business development and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Participate in professional and technical organizations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years in geotechnical engineering.
• PE preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read work plans and travel up to 15%.
• Valid Driver’s License.
