Position: Food Scientist

Location: Henderson, NC

Pay: $80,000 to $100,000/yr (depending on experience)

Experience: Previous laboratory and related experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, biology, chemistry, or a related field

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire, 100% onsite (no hybrid or remote potential)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Greene Resources is seeking a Food Scientist to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Research cost-reducing manufacturing processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate food quality and safety concerns.
• Utilize formulation software to create and update formulations.
• Work on new products from conceptualization to launch.
• Arrange and ship sales samples.
• Update product information sheets.
• Record, analyze, and summarize research data.
• Coordinate independent laboratory testing.
• Update and maintain the MRP system.
• Adhere to GMP and other safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to use internal and external sources to make technical scientific advances.
• Proven ability to work in a laboratory.
• Knowledge and understanding of data science.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
