Food and Beverage Manager

Summary

Responsible for coordinating all Food and Beverage services at our country club. Assures that the wants and needs of the members, banquet sponsors, and guests are consistently exceeded. Ensures all dining venues are operating smoothly. Works with the Chef on menu changes, presentation, and special needs. Provides for a cohesive environment to bring together all areas of the Clubhouse operations. Hires, trains, and supervises subordinates. This position is heavily involved with the Food and Beverage Director and General Manager.

Essential Duties

  • Inspects all dining venues for correct appearance, cleanliness, and safety of area, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Supervises the Food and Beverage staff so that the Club’s standards are met or exceeded for the event.
  • Banquet Experience preferred.
  • Receives and resolves any conflict or complaint by members or guests regarding their dining or banqueting experience.
  • Ensures that the reservation book is maintained properly and that the proper protocol is used by hostesses and receptionists regarding reservations.
  • Consistently provides superb dining and other food and beverage experiences for the Club members and guests; including facial and name recognition of members.
  • Clearly understands the financial metrics for the successful attainment of goals and objectives in food and beverage operations.
  • Creates weekly employee schedules for food and beverage personnel based on forecasting of events, to be available to employees each Thursday.
  • Develops consistent onboarding and training programs for all food and beverage personnel, including facilitating SafeServ training.
  • Updates the Point of Sale system when necessary and makes use of data provided for reporting purposes.
  • Basic computer skills required, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Catering Experience REQUIRED
