Overview

The Director of Financial & Business Systems will be the strategic systems partner working with key finance and business stakeholders, process owners and technology partners to drive finance systems and process transformation that help re-imagine the way the organization manages its financial functions. This person will report to the VP Controller.

What You Will Do

• Guide system solution and technical approach to solving business problems
• Offer strategic guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams that impact or are impacted by Finance and business applications
• Partner with stakeholders and leaders to develop system roadmaps and long term strategies for process improvement and automation within the Finance and Accounting ecosystem
• Become an expert in Finance and Accounting business processes and priorities
• Assist in cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document and analyze business requirements and functional specifications
• Support the Finance team during month-end, quarter-end and year-end process
• Manage vendor relationships and system integrator engagements
• Communicate regularly with executive and senior leadership on project status and risk mitigation
  
  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field
• 10+ years relevant experience in implementing and maintaining business systems including NetSuite, Coupa, Salesforce, Zuora and other applications within the Company’s overall ecosystem
• Extensive experience working with business stakeholders to solve problems in strategic, scalable and efficient way
• Strong working knowledge of multiple ERP Finance modules: General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets, Order To Cash, Procure To Pay and Cash Management modules
• Solid understanding of accounting operational processes and general understanding of general accounting concepts
• Solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley with experience in developing and supporting key controls for SOX compliance and audit
• Be highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects at the same time
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.

MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
