The FAST Family Service Counselor is responsible for ensuring the protection of children who have been or are at risk of being abused or neglected by their parents. The FAST Family Services Counselor assists the family in fulfilling the requirements of the FAST In-Home Services case plan through intensive supervision and services aimed at stabilizing the family.
Consistently maintains client confidentiality.
Update data (photos, BC, fingerprints) as required in FSFN.
Complete required paperwork (IL Assessments, staffing, exit interviews and runaway assessments within required time-frames.
Interact professionally with Family members, Caregivers and Community partners.
Staff member demonstrates an awareness and understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the client and implements awareness and understanding in the client’s treatment.
Performs other duties that may be assigned
Provides case management and family preservation services to families with problems of emergency or crisis nature
Respond to referrals in accordance with timeframes in the contract
Responsible for assessing initial risk and safety to the children and
determining if program is appropriate for family
Work with families to identify goals and develop a plan to complete the goals
Connects family with all needed services within the community
Follows up and obtains information and recommendations from all providers
working with the family
Plans and facilitates Family Team Meetings as needed and appropriate.
Completes all appropriate documentation for each family
Monitors child and family progress in the implementation and execution of the
preservation plan
Communicates with Clinical Engagement Specialist and/or Family Advocate
(as appropriate) on a daily basis about changes and/or concerns regarding Families
Models appropriate and professional behavior (i.e., dress, habits, personality, tact, etc.)
Relates with clients, parents, peers and the general public in a respectful and professional manner in person and phone interaction
Follow all program policies and procedures to ensure the protection and safety of children in the program’s care
Ensure Data integrity of program
Maintain case records for all families and input services provided and assessments into FSFN
Must be willing and able to work after hours, be on call and deal with emergency situations
Must be able to work independently and be able to manage time appropriately
May be called to testify in court
Salary range: $846.15 to $1,000 / week (based on education and experience)

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Social Services field
Two Years Of Relevant Experience
Must have a valid Florida driver's license in good standing
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in computer programs and software
