About The Position

Under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Associate will be working to make sure that our facilities are in the best condition for the employees who work there. You will help oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our equipment and facilities.

What You Can Do For Us…

Perform periodic as-needed preventive maintenance and as-needed repairs on a variety of building systems and equipment as assigned at all company operated properties.

Monitor all standard stock shop materials and supplies. Notify supervisor when materials or supplies need to be replenished

Perform handyman tasks as needed such as, but not limited to:

  • Paint buildings, furniture, fences, doors, gates, walls as directed.
  • Perform general troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment, i.e. air-conditioning units

for common areas of company owned properties

  • Perform general troubleshooting, repair & maintenance on all plumbing fixtures, i.e. public

restrooms, janitor sinks, landscape irrigation systems, hose bibs, storm drains and sewer

systems.

  • Perform Low voltage electrical repairs
  • Hang advertising banners and signs as directed by Marketing Department.

Familiarity with methane systems, CO systems, fire-life safety systems, including fire sprinkler shut-offs.

Ensure that equipment and tools are maintained in good condition for use.

Identify and remediate any immediate safety issues that arise.

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Ability to communicate with coworkers, customers, tenants and management staff in a professional manner.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to use various types of shop equipment including but not limited to paint sprayer, various saws, welding machine, plumbers snake, etc.

Operate boom lift, fork lift and other equipment as needed.

  • Be a “jack-of-all-trades” and/or be willing to learn skills needed
  • Strong follow up skills needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience level: 3-5 years
  • Safety or OSHA certification a plus
  • Handyman skills a must
  • Computer literate

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
  • Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.
