Holy cow, we love Pt. Reyes Farm! Last week we took a small group of clients and partners on a field trip to picturesque Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company on the stunning California coast. Andrea Gauss of Allsteel/HNI Corporation joined us to lead a discussion on sustainability, and we also heard from the owners of the family and women-run farm, who shared some of their sustainability practices. From a methane powered water recycling system, to land conservation and partnering with small local businesses, Pt. Reyes Farm is regarded as the gold standard in sustainable farming. Insiders and guests snacked on the highest quality cheese and bites around. A “garnish your own drink” station was a hit, offering several fresh fruits and herbs for folks to choose from. Guests left with eco-conscious coolers filled with delicious Pt. Reyes cheeses. Thank you to Pt. Reyes Farm for going above and beyond to host us, and to those who joined us for this new and unique event in such an inspiring place. We've been obsessed with the Mat chair ever since it came out. It's made of sustainably harvested hemp and sea moss. Easy disassembly allows for the material to be recycled and reused. On top of that, it looks great and feels great to sit in. Now that's good design. As we reflect on this significant milestone in our history, it gives us the opportunity to further our commitment to equality, inclusion, and justice in our communities and our workplaces. Happy Pride! This June, we highlight togetherness and were inspired to include Pride themes from several cities across our regions. They include: NYC - Reflect. Empower. Unite. Another fantastical Pinterest project for the books, this time their new EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Inspired by Ireland's rich culture and lush green landscapes, their new space was designed to inspire collaboration and creativity. One of our favorite areas, The Celtic Forest, features an awe inspiring tree installation surrounded by greenery and nature elements, including sounds that actually sync with the weather outside. The immersive experience includes a variety of work settings, from collaborative to heads-down retreats. Last week week NorCal Insiders volunteered alongside the talented muralist Laura Palmer to give Spruce Elementary in San Francisco a beautiful new mural.   A collaborative effort organized by our philanthropic committee The Heart Inside with Insider volunteers, the team transformed a once empty wall at the entrance of the school with imagery that was directly inspired by artwork from 4th and 5th graders (plus a few of our own illustrations in between 😉).   We facilitated two learning sessions to connect with the students, offering insights into our industry, career pathways, and personal journeys. We were also lucky enough to catch the beginning of a kindergarten graduation!   Everyone involved felt this was one of our best community events yet. The students loved the mural and we can't think of a better way to start their summer vacation, hopefully with a spark of inspiration!
