Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience


Job Summary:


The Facilitator Training Manager is responsible for implementing the training and technical assistance program for all certified facilitators that deliver Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) curriculum. This position is responsible for designing and implementing robust and multi-tiered engagement for MBF certified facilitators to deliver best-in-class prevention education training with fidelity, ultimately ensuring that children and adults are achieving MBF’s desired learning outcomes. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Facilitator Training 


  • Maintain and update annually certified facilitator trainings (live in-person, virtual, and asynchronous). 
  • Coordinate and oversee training calendar including all live facilitator trainings and live events, webinars, facilitator update trainings, and other training opportunities. 
  • Create/update training presentations and handouts as needed for various constituents. Customize as needed for specific audiences, including Child Advocacy Center prevention education staff, school counselors, health/physical education educators, after school/summer programs, coaches and other child facing professionals delivering MBF curriculum.
  • Provide back-up/support for online Certified Facilitator Training completions and other courses as needed.
  • Create and procure educational materials, resources, and tools to support program delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee all facilitator giveaways and incentives (including gift cards).


Program Fidelity


  • Monitor performance outcome data submitted by certified facilitators. Conduct and synthesize semi-annual facilitator surveys to monitor implementation of MBF curriculum. 
  • Identify new opportunities and mechanisms to engage and monitor impact of program through ongoing relationships with facilitators through data collection of outcome and impact metrics.
  • Conduct focus groups as needed to inform program updates.
  • Prepare overview and summaries of annual program feedback and research, disseminate findings, educate facilitators, and community at large as well as professional community, etc.
  • Support the Prevention Education team with updating and maintaining MBF curriculum’s research base and best practices in prevention.


Outreach and Engagement


  • Work in tandem with the Growth & Strategy team to develop and implement outreach and communication calendar to facilitators, schools, district supervisors, and others. 
  • Inform development and dissemination of different toolkits (e.g. child abuse prevention month, human trafficking prevention month, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities and submit proposals to VP, Prevention Education for prevention and program related outreach and training opportunities and follow-up with implementation of accepted proposals.
  • Develop and write prevention related articles for MBF newsletter and partner or supporter newsletters and other written content as opportunities present. 
  • Develop a learning community for the certified facilitators, which may include activities like a quarterly newsletter.
  • Assist with preparation for outreach/awareness events, conferences, and presentations where MBF certified facilitators are the primary audience.


Additional Responsibilities


  • Up to 25% travel.
  • Collaborate on grant activities and development meetings and activities as needed.
  • Participate in all Foundation, Team meetings, and Program/Outreach, fundraising activities and events meetings as directed by the VP, Prevention Education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP, Prevention Education.

Education and Experience Requirements:


Individuals with lived experiences in childhood trauma and exploitation, 2SLGBTQIA+ persons, and culturally and linguistically diverse people are strongly encouraged to apply.


  • Four-year degree in related field of education, social work, public health, or human services. 
  • Master’s degree in education, social work, social science, or human service field preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of current trends and issues in professional development, training in the field of prevention education, learning methodologies, and adult and child learning styles. Experience with child safety/prevention-related education preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to learning about child victimization and topics covered in MBF Programs. Must be comfortable being immersed in materials related to child sexual abuse, trafficking, and other types of child victimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and technical assistance to child facing professionals (educators, school-based counselors, paraprofessionals, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering skills-based education and/or training to adults.
  • Grant writing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

  • Communication – able to effectively and persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language and grammar in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Organization & Time Management – able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning, scheduling and organizing professional schedule to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Systems & Software – proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and ZOOM for Business. Salesforce data entry/reporting, Adobe InDesign and Articulate or Rise experience preferred.
