JOB TITLE: Executive Vice President (EVP), Project Management

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt


POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Project Management will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of all projects within the company. This role involves leading a team of project managers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The EVP will play a critical role in shaping project management practices, driving operational excellence, and supporting the company’s growth objectives.


What You’ll Do:


Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision and direction for the project management division.
  • Align project management strategies with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in project execution.


Project Oversight:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all projects, ensuring they meet established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure robust project management processes, methodologies, and best practices are in place and followed.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the project management division's budget, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.
  • Evaluate and approve project expenditures, contracts, and financial commitments.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising project quality or timelines.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure the project management team has the necessary resources, training, and support to succeed.


Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documentation as required.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and community partners.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and events, promoting the company’s project management capabilities and achievements.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns from stakeholders related to project execution.



What You’ll Bring:


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and project portfolios.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or PMP certification.
  • Financial acumen for budget development and management.
