KCG Construction's Senior Project Manager, Billy Kimball, welcomed Neabsco District Supervisor, Prince William County, Victor Angry, to Park Landing Apartments for a tour and visit. Supervisor Angry discussed the need for affordable housing in the community and shared his excitement to see residents move into the community. A huge “shout out” to our cross-department team that collaborated with Adult and Child Health to complete the 2024 Indiana Supportive Housing Institute! The Supportive Housing Institute is a premier workshop experience that helps housing developers, service providers, property managers, and community-based organizations jumpstart supportive housing projects for families experiencing homelessness. The KCG team was one of four teams selected through a competitive process and invited to participate in this 16th year of the institute. Over the course of 4 months, Todd Jensen, Maria Klause, CAPS, NCP-e, C3P, A.C.E., Zipporah Hodge, HCCP, C3P and Kimberly Hurd, CPO, CAPS attended 11 days of educational sessions on topics including Supportive Housing 101, Coordinated Entry 101, Services Philosophy, Dimensions of Quality and Endorsement, Capital Funding, Eviction Prevention and much more. Today was the finale with group presentations to an audience of nearly 70 attendees and feedback sessions on the projects presented. KCG Residential is thrilled to welcome another property into the firm’s management portfolio. Bellfort Park is a 64 unit community originally built in 1955 with 100% of units covered by a HAP Contract from HUD. With physical conditions deteriorating and the compliance period expiring - the community was at risk of converting to market rate when KCG stepped in to purchase and renovate the property. With 9% credits and $3.5M in CDBG awarded, the property was fully restored to modern standards and is a shining example of housing preservation for the Houston community and our property management team to oversee moving forward! #LIHTC #apartments #housing #multifamily
