This is a salary position with a range of 65,000 to 80,000 per year depending on experience.

Full-time. 7:00am - 5:00pm MST Mon-Fri. (overtime as needed)

Position Summary:
An Estimator is responsible for preparing a clear and detailed estimate based upon a thorough review of the architectural drawings and specifications for high end commercial projects from bid to hand off to the Project Managers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Must be able to assign fabrication, finish, and installation time to each piece of millwork without the assistance of pre-determined formulas or times
Bidding projects ranging in size from $2,000 - $3M+
Responsible for reviewing assigned project invitations and gathering all information needed to complete a proposal
Clearly communicate with customers in a timely manner (via phone and/or email) to understand project requirements, goals, and post bid questions
Understands the current market and works to put together winning, profitable proposals
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to pursue and earn projects bid
Once awarded, set up projects for a detailed and successful hand-off to Project Management and Engineering
Have an understanding of standard building construction methods to include AWI guidelines, LEEDS, and FSC requirements
Handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment
Possesses excellent communication, mathematical, and grammar skills
Qualifications Desired:
Minimum (10) years of experience in millwork estimating. Experience in any other construction and building industry is not an acceptable substitution
Ability to create a takeoff from scratch. Must be able to breakdown millwork into each piece and component and price without the aid of pre-existing formulas
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Ability to read architectural blueprints and shop drawings identifying all millwork items
Strong understanding of millwork construction methods; demonstrate continuous education to keep up with changing needs
Experience using Blue Beam preferred
