We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility to work from home and on-site. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the construction industry, particularly in electrical estimation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze contractor bids, making use of your sharp eye for detail to ensure all aspects are accounted for and that the bids are competitive.
  • Create detailed and accurate estimates that align with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Develop comprehensive cost plans that consider all potential expenses, from materials and labor to permits and potential delays.
  • Stay updated on local rates to ensure that our estimates are always competitive and realistic.
  • Prepare detailed Electrical Estimates that encompass all electrical components of a construction project, from wiring and lighting to security systems and power supply.
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses, identifying potential challenges and developing contingency plans to address them.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project goals and expectations.
  • Present estimates to clients, stakeholders, and team members, explaining your methodologies and answering any questions that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, continuously improving your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical or electrical estimation within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components in construction.
  • Proven ability to analyze contractor bids and create detailed, accurate estimates and cost plans.
  • Familiarity with local rates and conditions.
  • Excellent risk analysis skills, with the ability to identify potential challenges and develop effective contingency plans.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present estimates to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), are a plus.
