Job Details
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work model, offering the flexibility to work from home and on-site. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the construction industry, particularly in electrical estimation.
Responsibilities
Analyze contractor bids, making use of your sharp eye for detail to ensure all aspects are accounted for and that the bids are competitive.
Create detailed and accurate estimates that align with project specifications and budget constraints.
Develop comprehensive cost plans that consider all potential expenses, from materials and labor to permits and potential delays.
Stay updated on local rates to ensure that our estimates are always competitive and realistic.
Prepare detailed Electrical Estimates that encompass all electrical components of a construction project, from wiring and lighting to security systems and power supply.
Conduct thorough risk analyses, identifying potential challenges and developing contingency plans to address them.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project goals and expectations.
Present estimates to clients, stakeholders, and team members, explaining your methodologies and answering any questions that arise.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, continuously improving your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical or electrical estimation within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and components in construction.
Proven ability to analyze contractor bids and create detailed, accurate estimates and cost plans.
Familiarity with local rates and conditions.
Excellent risk analysis skills, with the ability to identify potential challenges and develop effective contingency plans.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present estimates to a variety of stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), are a plus.
