EPC Project Director
The Project Director oversees all aspects of designing, building, and installing semiconductor facilities. This includes design/build, EPCM, and tool install projects. The role involves managing scope, schedule, budget, safety, and the project team. The Project Director must be capable of managing reimbursable or fixed-price projects that exceed $500 million.
Responsibilities:
- Manage EPC, Design, Construction Management and/or Design Build projects
- Champion Safety, Quality, Regulatory Compliance and The Collaborative Way
- Identify differentiating factors concerning approach, design, and constructability during the bid, proposal, and execution phases
- Be responsible for project profit and loss commitments through effective scope management, schedule management, cost control, change control, cash management, risk management, and implementation of recovery strategies
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Company's project processes, procedures, and policies and be responsible for enforcing the use and conformance thereof
- In coordination with the relevant Discipline Director, execute a master agreement with each consultant
- Provide EPC Project Management support to the Business Development Group
- Participate in continuous improvement plans as directed and/or through proactive application of personal expertise
- Be accountable for managing the overall execution of the contract
- Develop and maintain continuous positive relationships with the Client and their representatives
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Company/Owner contract and all project correspondence and documentation
- Monitor the training of all project staff personnel in coordination with Discipline Directors and with available programs
Your Expertise:
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of industrial experience in a combination of engineering and construction roles in the EPC environment
- Prior experience as a Senior Project Manager for a minimum of two successful projects
- Experience in working in a large, complex matrix environment with global processes and governance structures
- 5+ years of senior-level construction management or design management experience
- Experience on projects under design and/or construction
- OSHA 10 required / OSHA 30 preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
