Under the direction of the licensed staff member, the Emergency Department Technician gives routine, non-licensed, technical bedside care as a member of the Healthcare Team. They can assist the day to day operations keeping the health center running efficiently and effectively. They will prepare the patient for the clinicians. Also they will transport patients, assist with obtaining lab work, vital signs, purposeful rounding, clerical duties, clean and prepare rooms for next patient and other duties as assigned.

Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines.
Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
