Our local client is now hiring an Electro Mechanical Technician for their Brownsville facility. As an Electro Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of systems and equipment used in the production abrasives. Ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and contribute to continuous improvement imitative to enhance productivity and safety.
Work Experience
Requirements:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment, including motors. Conveyor systems, PLC’s and other automated machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Install, calibrate, and test new equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Electro-Mechanical Role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge in of electrical systems, PLC’s and mechanical components.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, verbally and written.
Bilingual
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, and overtime as needed
Rotating shift will play a role.
