Hourly rate: $35-45/hour plus 10 hours overtime weekly (time and a half pay)
Duties and Responsibilities
Must be familiar with the NEC & how to lookup & perform work to minimum NEC Standards
A thorough understanding of electrical theory, ohms laws, induction, capacitive, true power, reactive power, apparent power, etc.
Must be familiar with the basic tools of the trade including ammeters, ohm meters, VOM, Meggars, EMT benders, Ridgid Hydraulic Benders, wire baskets, pullers & setup, thermal scanners, cable testers.
Adhere to state and local building regulations
A good foundation is basic relay logic & be able to demonstrate this
Transformer connections, H1, H2, X1, X2 etc.
Be familiar with single phase as well as 3 phase distribution systems
Be able to size wire using ampacity tales
Be capable of sizing conductors & know percent fill of each size or demonstrate knowledge of how to obtain this info
Knowledge of a phase & single phase motor connections
Capable of planning electrical jobs including selecting all types of boxes, panels, breakers, fuses, conduit, wire size, grounding conductors, etc.
Bending EMT 1/2“ through 1”
Be capable of trouble shooting without issues with & without a schematic
Being capable of tracing wires & capable of creating schematics as needed
Familiar with VFD's & being capable of programming them as well as trouble shooting them.
Be familiar with the tools of the trade & how to use them properly
Complete work orders on time
Perform all work in a neat & workman like manner, clean up after yourself
Tighten all fittings, clamps, Seal-tite connections, termine screws to the proper torque setting
Knowledge of lockout tagout procedures & implementation of them
Proper use of arial lifts, turret lifts, ladders & scaffolding as well as forklift operation
Able to perform lifting, bending to OSHA Standards
Knowledge of fasteners & their proper use
Knowledge of instrumentation & control – 4-20mm – 0 -10V circuit
Knowledge of:
photo eyes in both light & dark modes of operation
pressure switches
limit switches
VFD's & motor starters
flow & level sensors
IP transducers
Relays
HMI equipment
temperature devices
Capable of ballast & light/lamp changes
PLC skills
Familiar with converting relay logic into ladder logic
Familiar with Allen Bradley communications protocol path highway, ethernet, etc.
Familiar with IO selection & troubleshooting & configuration.
Installation & maintenance of PLC's & associated equipment
HMI programming & troubleshooting
