Electric Safety Analyst

Full-Time: 37.50 hours

Pay Rate Effective July 12, 2024

$31.33/hour - $42.60/hour

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Energy, Enforcement Division has a full-time vacancy for 13-1040 Compliance Officers-6.

Summary:

Performs highly responsible professional work in such areas as researching, investigating , and developing recommendations for proper utility safety practices, methods, planning, and quality of service and prudence of utility policies.

18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree

36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree

54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree

Other information: This position offers a Trainee Status* at the following pay rate: $30.02 per hour

  • Candidates hired at a Trainee Status must meet minimum qualifications within one (1) year of hire date
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in the field of business, mathematics, finance, economics, or engineering. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience:Six years’ experience in the analysis, regulation, or management of public or private corporations or the operational phases of public utilities, two years of which shall have been dealing with rate analysis or one year of which shall have been at a public utilities regulatory commission.

License/Certification:None required.

Responsibilities:

Develops and implements technical requirements and specifications for utility damage prevention programs .

Develops and conducts training programs for excavators and operators of utility facilities, including designing of training and promotional materials .

Conduc t i nformal conferences and resolves disputes regarding violations of Dig Safe l aw s , i nc l uding field i n v e stiga tions and r ecommends appropriate civil penalties.

Research es, selects . and ap pl ie s fo r federal grant opportunities to fund safety programs .

Anal yz es trends and statistics and makes recommendations for improvement of utilit y damage protection programs and associated reliability advancements .

Maintains continuous and important contact with industry representatives , other state counterparts, federal officials , consumers and special interest groups in the research of information on which ut i lity performance is evaluated .

Rev ie ws and recommends proposed l egislation and rule amendments for enhancement of util i ty safety practices .
