Position Overview
The Education Solutions Consultant plays a vital role in business development within the K-12 education sector across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky, supporting educational sales in the East Region. This role focuses on introducing innovative solutions to school districts, guiding them from initial concept to successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve revenue targets, prioritizing key school districts.
Introduce product solutions to districts, supporting them throughout the adoption process until revenue realization.
Identify and cultivate relationships with new funding sources within districts to expand network.
Coordinate and host important events such as trade shows, executive visits, and channel training sessions.
Contribute insights to strategic consortia, training centers, and Departments of Education (DOEs).
Required Skills And Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation, collaborating closely with Regional Managers, Channel Managers, Inside Account Managers, Demand Generation teams, and Professional Development Specialists.
Thorough understanding of product suite and software, with the ability to quickly grasp new solutions as they are introduced.
Proficiency in presenting to large audiences, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of both hardware and software as effective presentation tools.
Strong educational background or previous teaching experience highly valued.
High level of proficiency with technology, coupled with self-starting capabilities to independently acquire new skills.
Supervision and Working Environment
This role is field-based, operating independently under the guidance of a Regional Manager, with regular one-on-one meetings and occasional travel.
Candidates must be able to work from a home office and travel extensively within the assigned territory for meetings and product demonstrations.
International travel may be required, necessitating a valid passport and compliance with travel regulations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
Previous experience as an educator is advantageous.
Proven track record in sales, particularly in technology-driven environments, with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
Familiarity with products is preferred.
Ability to pass district-level background checks required for K-12 environments.
