"Listen in with KNN" is a sports and entertainment podcast hosted by multi award-winning sports personality Kelsey Nicole Nelson. The show airs live weekly and covers the latest trending topics with top names from the world of sports and entertainment. The show aims for authentic conversations that dive deep into issues. The show airs live weekly on various social media platforms as well as radio and online platforms, and on Fox Sports Radio AM 1340, and 96.9 FM - WHAP.
Role Description
This is a remote internship role as an Editorial Intern for "Listen In With KNN". The Editorial Intern will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as writing, editing, research, and marketing. The intern will work closely with the host, Kelsey Nicole Nelson, to assist in creating engaging content for the show.
The Editorial Intern will be responsible for conducting research, writing content, editorial tasks, and supporting marketing efforts. The role includes a flexible schedule.
The Editorial Intern will be in charge of creating weekly recap articles of LIWKNN shows for the "Listen In With KNN" and FOX Sports Radio website. Interns should be comfortable reaching out to sports agents, PR and team representatives etc to follow-up on story ideas and assist in booking special guests. Interns should have strong writing and grammar skills as well as proficient knowledge of the AP Stylebook. Interns may also be asked to conduct interviews.
Qualifications
Communication skills: The candidate should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Writing skills: The candidate should have strong writing skills, including the ability to write in different formats, such as news articles, features, and social media posts.
Editorial skills: The candidate should have experience with copy editing, content editing, and proofreading.
Research skills: The candidate should be able to find information on a variety of topics, and be able to fact-check information.
Marketing skills: The candidate should have experience with marketing materials and social media marketing.
Knowledge of sports and entertainment is a plus
Ability to work remotely and independently
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or English

Passion for sports and entertainment
Knowledge of current trends in sports and entertainment industry
The intern should be enrolled in an accredited college or university or a recent graduate. Must be available to work approx. 10-12 hours per week. Interns should be able to receive academic credit for internship. This is not a paid internship opportunity.
Interns should be well versed with social media platforms and be ready to assist in marketing and promotion of show!
