eDiscovery Project Manager

Lawrence Harvey has partnered with a prominent, full-service law firm that provides a wide range of legal services to various industries, including corporate, litigation, real estate, labor and employment, finance, and intellectual property. This firm is headquartered in Los Angeles, California but has global presence with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Location: New York City OR Washington, D.C.

They are looking for a Practice Project Manager for their eDiscovery process. In this role, you'll be part of a team that supports attorneys, paralegals, and staff, playing a vital role in assisting the Firm's clients. This hands-on position involves offering e-Discovery consulting and technical support to case teams, encompassing vendor coordination, database administration, project management, and training.

Responsibilities:

• Develop e-discovery budgets related to data collection, processing, hosting, and project management billable hours
• Collaborate with case teams to choose, liaise with, and oversee approved external vendors for e-discovery projects
• Maintain records for data received, uploaded to review platforms, and data produced, including information provided by opposing counsel or third parties
• Responsible for the technical and PM aspects of discovery, including the stages outlined in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model
• Manage eDiscovery vendors and tools
• Support and updated the Relativity databases + other eDiscovery platforms used by the firm

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working alongside lawyers to enhance and build out the eDiscovery process
• Experience with Relativity + Relativity Desktop Client software platform
• Knowledge in identifying, preserving, collecting, processing, reviewing, analyzing, producing, quality control and compliance + documenting the data collected.
• Experience in project management
• Great communication skills - ability to speak with lawyers, partners, HR and other departments
