Economic Analyst and Planner - Solid Waste and Recycling (Austin, TX)

Burns & McDonnell has an opening for a solid waste professional for our Austin, TX, office who will work in a team atmosphere by managing projects, performing detailed technical, financial and operational analyses and working in project execution. Responsibilities Will Include, But May Not Be Limited To

• Analysis of financial and non-financial data.
• Preparation and analysis of financial projections and forecasts.
• Preparation of cost of service and rate analysis.
• Development of solid waste and recycling plans and studies.
• Research and compilation of project data.
• Development of project reports, analytical work papers, and project presentations.
• Preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts.
• Other duties, as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Government, Community and Regional Planning, or other related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience (8 years of experience preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience in the solid waste and recycling profession
• High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
