Interested in joining our team of dedicated professionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a full-time **Donor Relations Manager**. **The Donor Relations Manager contributes to our mission by holding primary responsibility for donor management systems, data, and stewardship programs while identifying and cultivating individual, business, and foundation prospects.**

*The candidate will work in a hybrid-remote capacity but must live within commutable distance to our main office in Springfield, MA. In-office work and in-person meetings are expected, as are occasional nights and weekends.*

Responsibilities Include

  • Manage donor relations to organically expand resources and ensure vibrant development campaigns and outreach are delivered to current and potential donors
  • Administer the development database, ensuring records are accurate and consistent in form; communications and campaigns are updated; and data is clean and well-organized; promote positive donor relations through accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of information
  • Provide reports as required; analyze trends to recommend process improvements and areas for development opportunity
  • In collaboration with management, design and implement prospect management protocols and systems; administer prospect information in development database, to include conducting high-level research as assigned and appropriate, and providing synthesized synopses, detailed findings, and data reports
  • Assess database processes in an ongoing manner and recommend updates to improve efficiency; keep current with trainings and system updates, updating process documentation as necessary
  • Assist with donor communications, stewardship activities, the gathering and reporting of campaign data; participate in managing donor email lists
  • Provide support with donor education and engagement efforts in an ongoing manner
  • Collaborate internally, through ideas, data, and analysis, on resource development prospecting, pipeline-growing, and revenue forecasting meetings
  • Oversee the integration of departmental technology platforms to maximize efficiency and consistency of messaging
  • Manage the gift process, collaborating with internal partners, including the fiscal department’s reconciliations, audit preparations, and tax returns
  • Assist in planning and scheduling development meetings and events
  • Manage all required annual surveys, working across the organization to gather and post information in a timely manner
  • Assist with special projects that support fundraising strategies and business plans

Requirements Include

  • 5 years’ equivalent experience in development or a related role, with 1 year as a field specialist; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be a substitute
  • Preference for experience in a nonprofit setting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of donor database best practices, running queries, and dynamic reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and ease in learning new software or technology; preference for experience with database applications
  • Advanced organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail
  • Ability to analyze and manage competing priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
